The Bible, new friends, old friends, coffee… fabulous!
Growing closer to God through His word in close fellowship with others, bringing accountability, encouragement, and confidence. Knowing more of God every day, and letting Him refine us continually- His word being reality in our lives. Read through promotes a striving to read the bible through accountability, but it will go on to produce a thirst to read it independently, becoming something we turn to instinctively, instead of it being something we find ourselves ignoring so often.
The more times you get through the Bible the more you see it's all about Jesus, and just how utterly dependant we are on his grace which is awesome because we also see more and more clearly how he has does and will continue to deliver the grace we need.
Committing to reading the whole Bible means committing to expose yourself to God's whole plan, His whole salvation, His whole revelation, and His whole character. Does it get much more vital than that? I'm still amazed at how I've seen God use obscure, difficult and downright odd passages and books to challenge, convict, humble, uplift and comfort the guys in my Read Through groups over the few years I've been doing it. Brilliant stuff.
As someone new to reading the Bible from start to finish, I am amazed at both how consistent and relevant it is. A total must-do to keep you on the right track from Sunday to Sunday.
I love the Bible Reading Groups as we are all different and so its good to share what each has got from the passages that were read…the Holy Spirit is clearly seen to be working as it produces the fruit He loves…unity and deepening of relationships… taking us from..'how are you?' 'fine !' to real sharing on whatever level we are at.
Reading the Bible reveals the character of God and deepens our understanding of Him and of ourselves I believe and is vital for life…sharing brings accountability and perspective…love it and the staff are great at knowing who would fit in with what group :)So come on…join in the adventure of exploring Gods Word and finding out how you/we all fit into His amazing plan of salvation and real LIFE! Sharing that brings us closer together as a family.
